MY BPO JOURNEY

Have you ever thought of working in the BPO industry? Well, I have a pretty interesting story to be told. I started working in the BPO Industry since 2018  out of curiosity. I always wonder how do they take calls, how they end up the shift laughing happily and i always thought " that could be me? Because it was really my dream job to work in the  BPO even when I am still in College.

No wonder there are many people wanted to work in BPO (including me :-))) They offer a higher take-home pay,  providing the best benefits like life insurance,  health benefits, scholarship programs, family day, movie treats,  13th-month pay, and a lot more. Well all I can say having health insurance is a big deal. It allows you to get checkups without paying for them. 

It was my first job as a call center agent at ACS of the Philippines. I've been connected for 5 years and then working on Upwork as a freelancer, then switched to IBEX and working at Local Government Unit at present.

So, being employed in a call center is not enough and it’s definitely not that I always want to do. Rest day is quiet a big deal for me since it shifts constantly. Instead with going out with friends or my family I, would spend the rest days sleeping and before i Knew it, it was time for shift to work again., My social life suffered as a result because I always worried for my sleep hours. Aside from that, I have so many ups and downs specially during the Covid era. It was required to get swab test on the first day of the week before you can start working, that upsets me.:-(  and because of that, it motivates me to look for a change. I was looking for a day job and luckily found one though it was not really a high paying job but as long I got comfortable and doesn't worry much about sleep. My day job doesn't define me so neither yours.

I start encouraging myself to find out what interests me and what can I eventually become. Continue learning and exploring helps me find out what's best for me. You too can do it!  

Definitely, it was a pleasant experience, my first company, my first pay cheque. My first time living in the city.

For every debit, there must be a corresponding credit to balance life and I finally found my balance.

From a demotivated, sad, tired call center employee to a Goverment employee, this journey has taught me this: Explore, dream, and then explore some more, Dare to live the life you’ve always wanted.

Friendship is Love. Full stop!

Having friends bring more joy into our lives. It has a large impact on your emotional, social and physical health. 
The friends we make in an adulthood can form an important part individually. Good friends improve our over-all well being. You see, life gets a little more complicated when you're an adult. You should try to make a point of connecting with new people. I'm fortunate now to have a handful of women here I call friends even though we have just met. Oh no, how's that? Well, making new friends as a parent with other parents doesnt really depends on kids ages. (on my point of view) as you see, we have both the same, we have school kids. Simply because we have one thing in common, 'parenthood'. There's something about parenthood that tether us all together. The first thing I know is that when you first move to a new place everyone you meet is going to be a stranger. Just like Arkhin, T'was kinda struggle for me since arkhin had to cry a lot on his first day of school. I saw the loneliness on his eyes and yet he was struggling too when i dropped him off at school.It gives me calmness and I am happy that Arkhin meet his new friends and was not hesitant and shy at all.

Finding the time to meet new friends can be struggle i know because i was an introvert. I'm really not the best at socializing. (now you know, lol) You should make an effort to connect with other people.  Whether your kids are little or big, you're new to a place or not, motherhood feels better with some close companions in our life. I am glad I found them, Meriam, t flor, t nelma, t hilda, t pabs and Jen. I am glad I met them. I may have only known them for a short time but I would honestly treasure our friendship. The one that bond us all together was the delicious palabok and special bihon of Jen. Hehe. Just know that no matter where we are or how far apart we may be, I will cherish our friendship. Thanks a lot for adding memories and times of happiness to my life.

Arkhin at Kindergarten 1

Summer has just started and few months later Arkhin will be in preschool. On his first day of school at kindergarten 1, He had really a hard time with the adjustment . Me and hubby drops him off to school around 8:30 in the morning and pick him around 11 am.  He doesn't wanted me to go every time we dropped him at school and He is utterly exhausted and an emotional wreck by the time we get home.  He's been very stressed out and edgy since school began and I worried he wouldn’t make friends right away or that the curriculum would be too hard for him.

It hit me recently when I came to pick up him at his K1 classroom.  I looked around and took it all in—the centers filled with bins and categorized toys, the handmade art , the seasons and birthday calendars, the books and little tables and pint-sized chairs and all of the bold and vibrant colors and charts...
The class mostly focuses on reading, writing and math and other subjects like science and social studies, sariling wika are open on the blackboard learning. He was able to read and write and spelling number words. Reading only a few words like phrases and sentences. He also did great in addition and subtraction.  
It feels like yesterday that his tiny fingers wrapped around mine and I couldn’t stop smelling his baby skin, Oh my God... I thanked GOD everyday for giving me this little boy.

Arkhin has always been on honor-roll and he is at 4th place out of 14.
Anyway, it's not for me, it's for him. He works hard and it's nice that the school can acknowledge that. So, I'm a proud parent because he's doing amazing! .  I can’t tell you how proud I am that Arkhin has overcome another year as the new student at school and not only that, he’s thriving! he has so much more confidence now and he does not get bossed around by anyone. whooa! this kid is finally right where he’s supposed to be. He’s finally able to shine! ,Keep working hard and keep shooting for the stars because you will go far as long as you put in the effort. I love you and God Bless...

Puto Flan and Cupcakes with Buttercream frosting

I’m sooo excited to try this recipe because my fb friend keep posting her puto flan recipe and it looks so delicious and I wanted to try it on myself so I did a small research about the ingredients and the procedure as well.

I have done leche flan before but this is different and also I was thinking to sell it to have some additional income. Yay!
Also my whole family loves puto so I tried puto flan for a change. 

I sell it for 100 pesos for 12 pieces.... smiles:-)

 I also just want to share my experience of finally impeding one of my biggest challenges...the frosting.

I am always amused by the thread on facebook about cupcakes with buttercream frosting. I followed and likes all cupcakes frosting pages on facebook and joined different groups because I wanted to learn on how to make a frosting.

Because it's Arkhin's birthday so I decided to make cupcakes with buttercream frosting.

These cupcakes have a rich chocolate flavor and vanilla top with buttercream frosting.

So deliciously delicious!

Puto Cheese Espesyal

Cheese Overload

I love Puto but haven't tried making them though as in NEVER. But I think it's about time since my Husband and My Son also loves puto specially when it's flavored puto. I came across for the perfect recipe and glad my Mom handed me her old recipe book. 
So no hassle.

This muffins are definitely a piece of cheesy and fluffy. I adjusted the measurement for each ingredients because I made 2 cups or 16 tablespoons of flour and since I don't have a measuring cup I converted it into tablespoons. In this recipe, I was using MILO one sachet for the Chocolate or Mocca tint. I couldn't find chocolate bar in our fridge so maybe next time.I was so glad I have found my hand mixer. It was a company Christmas give-away last year so t'was awesome!

My Husband and Son tried it and they said it was so yummy up to the last bite! :-)
If you have a steamer, you might want to try this one. It is so easy to follow.


Note:  You can adjust the measurement depending on the quantity of the Puto you want to make.

 Puto Cheese and Chocolate Puto with Cheese in a box

(I sell them for 3 pesos each, yes right,just THREE pesos :-)

Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup fresh milk
2 eggs
Cheese
 1/2 cup water

Additional For Flavored Puto:

UBE - 1 teaspoon Ube essence flavor/tint
PANDAN - 1 teaspoon essence flavor/tint
CHOCOLATE - 1 bar of any chocolate brand melted


Procedure:


Step 1.

In a large bowl, combine all purpose flour, baking powder and sugar. Mix well.


Step 2.

Add eggs, fresh milk and water.Beat until smooth or until well blended.


Step 3.

Arrange in a steamer. Steam for about 8 to 10 minutes.


Step 4.

Arrange in a serving plate. Serve and Enjoy! :-)

It's a bit of schlep to reach the falls, you have to drive up an unsealed road to get to the village of Tambongan,Cadapdapan,Abilihan and #Can-umantad where the falls was located. The access road is rutted and extremely glassy when wet. It takes some 370-odd steps going down and a seeming eternity getting back up,but once you reach the falls, all is worthwhile. The waterfall is soooo beautiful, amazing, spectacular!

I live in Bohol for my entire life and without knowing that this is the best falls that I´ve ever seen.

Arkhin's First Day of School

Okay,so today was arkhin's first day of school. Everyday was a wonderful and exciting morning for him and edgy morning for me. He was always full of energy wanting to get his new uniform and ofcourse his yogurt and lava cake for snacks. He love cakes so much.

No -Bake Oreo Cheese Cake

My friend told me that she made a delicious No-Bake Oreo cheesecake so I asked the recipe immediately. I just thought it was perfect because I made it during the fiesta which served as the dessert,but I was screw up on my first attempt.FAILED! she didn't gave me the exact measurement of the ingredients so I  was very disappointed and was hesitant to try again that I might fail. But I really wanted to try. I was really a second rate trying hard :-) hahaha but hey! It tasted so good! Glad I came across the web for the best recipe.Well, Oreo cheesecake is something everyone should really try. 

My first attempt.... It tasted good but not really firm .

Ingredients:

Chocolate Oreo
All purpose cream
Cream Cheese
Butter
Chocolate (Any brand will do)
Condensed Milk


Procedure:


Step 1.
Crushed the Oreo. Afterwards, melt the butter in a separate pan.


Step 2.
Mix the melted butter to the crushed oreo. Spread all over the base. 
NOTE: This is your first layer 


Step 3.
Combine  all purpose cream,cream cheese and condensed milk. Mix well.


Step 4.
Spread all over the base. Put as a second layer to the crushed oreo. 
Note: Save mixture for the third layer


Step 6.
Melt Chocolate. Add melted chocolate to the remaining mixture of all purpose cream, cream cheese and condensed milk. Mix well. Spread as the third layer and your done!


Step 7.
Refrigerate.

A Love Letter To Baby Arkhin

Dear Baby Arkhin,

Time flies so fast and now you are grown up and I love watching you grow everyday. You will be turning 10 months old this monday and I am so excited! Well, its probably all the way parents feel because we are now on a first birthday countdown! Too way exciting! Im on the fledge of planning for your birthday.

Milestone: 
You're officially crawling and your good at it,wow!. You wake up early as 4am and you crawl over the top of me and your papa. You are simply amazing baby. You now say clearly mama, papa,bah bah, tah tah. You can now stand on your own on your crib and you had your first step and hoping that you will have your first walk next month. You enjoyed with your walker very much and cookie,biscuit and wafers are your favourites!

Motherhood has changed me and my life. How drastic even small things like the fact that all of my pictures on my celphone used to be of me but now, all of my pictures on my phone was all about you baby. I was blessed with dashingly cute and handsome baby boy.
